I was educated and smart enough to know I didn’t want some moron raising my child instead of me. This rhetoric might backfire on them badly.
That is pretty much what my wife said. Shes disabled, some days her fibro and neropathy won’t let her get out of bed for a few hours..
Somehow, even that and type 1 diabetes it has not kept her from turning our kids around via home schooling, kept the house looking respectable, kept food on the table and clean clothes in the drawers.
Do I work a lot to make up for her lost income? yes. 50-70 hours a week. but we just paid off the house and we’re getting caught up on the bills so I can cut back a bit soon.
We would not trade it for the world. We want our kids to grow up leaders. Not followers. The public schools where failing our kids.
We addressed the issue and will never look back.
