You tried. but ‘running to the right’ does not a conservative make. And to vote for him, one has, by definition to accept his stance on gay rights et all, which are the opposite of conservative.
A conservative, by definition cannot do so.
I don't think that's true. I have yet to vote for a candidate who I agreed with on everything. And I don't think any elected politician believes everyone who votes for him agrees with him on all issues. Particularly if the voters and other elected official strongly oppose him where they disagree.
I'm still in this fight for Newt. But in any case, I'm supporting tea party conservatives at all levels. The executive is one branch, powerful for sure, but we have other arrows in the quiver no matter who is president.
