According to his own campaign rhetoric from years past, Romney was a pro-abortion activist for over thirty years. He proclaimed that abortion should be safe and legal in America. He claims that Roe v Wade is settled law and should be preserved and sustained as such. He ran to the left of Ted Kennedy on gay rights. He appointed liberal judges to make sure his leftist priorities were implemented/sustained (abortion, gay marriage, gun-control, socialized healthcare, etc). His policies led to gay marriage, $50 tax payer funded abortion, socialized healthcare, bankrupt state, bankrupt party. He still says RomneyCare was a good idea and believes it’s a successful “conservative” solution and has set up a national task force to get something like it forced onto all 50 states. He says damn the Declaration, damn the Constitution and damn individual liberty. He knows what’s best for the little people. He also still believes that gays in the boy scouts and gays in the military are good ideas. He also still believes that global warming is man made and something will have to be done about it by big government. He says that TARP was a good idea and that more stimulus packages may be necessary. He’s also looking for ideas on how he can help all the illegal aliens stay in country. The man is a flaming leftist. How much screwing do you lay down for before you say enough is enough?

So is it your opinion that we should ignore him as a candidate and we should endure another 4 years of Obama as the leader of this country? I am very much aware of what Romney is and what he stands for. I also know what Obama is and what he stands for. Put both of them on a scale and decide which one sinks the lowest would be my judgement. As Sarah Palin suggest, Anybody But Obama. I think that is a very wise statement.

Nuts. I don't want to surrender to Obama. We know Romney is liberal, Jim.

But Obama gave us Sotomeyer and Kagan. We can't have Obama in there for 4 more years.

Excellent! Exactly! Hear, hear!

I, for one, will not lay down for another RINO screwing. F the GOP-E. If we can't find liberty loving, small central gov't, Constitutionalist type candidates in the Repub Party then I say we look elsewhere.

OK, let's suppose for the sake of argument that Romney doesn't give a rat's patootie about the unborn -- which I think is the case -- but wants to be president, and because he doesn't care one way or the other about the issue is willing to work with pro-lifers and generally keep his promises to us regarding sane judges and cutting funds, This is a reasonable expectation, btw, as keeping these promises will cost him less in aggravation than breaking them.

How is that somehow worse than Obama who cares deeply about the issue, namely that babies are punishment and killing them is a good thing?

IOW, Romney is not dogmatically pro abortion. Obama most certainly is.

Even assuming the worst, Romney is far more likely to appoint judges like a Kennedy or O'Connor than a Kagan or Sotomayor. That is a big deal.

I will do everything I can to keep Obama from being re-elected, even if it means voting for Romney, who btw still does not have the nomination sewn up.
