Here's the deal and history of the matter: the military adopted internal combustion vehicles, abandoning horses, after the ic technology had been PROVEN to be useful--as evidenced by the private sector success of Henry Ford, et al.

NOTHING like Ford's success has been shown in the private sector thus far.

But you keep dreamin' that Obama really wants a stronger military.

He really has no say in the matter TBH no matter what he wants. Individual military based corporations and the spinoff co's who invest $$$$$ heavily in political races of both parties will insure the military is strong and is highly capable. No corporations want a weakened military because their money will dry up.

Your fearmongering/panicking over this is staggering. Again, please read the article. The military and the Pentagon is ASKING FOR THIS.Obama is just jumping on board for brownie points/photo ops.
