I speculate that it’s the same reason we lost the public school system to leftists. Conservatives are individualists and self reliant. Liberals are more likely to follow group think.
In the case of the schools, conservatives found alternatives, such as parochial schools, and home schooling. The left moved into the schools, and turned the public schools into proper indoctrination facilities.
In the case of boycotts, I think conservatives see them as pop culture, and somewhat lacking. So, we tend to do our own thing. Liberals tend to be like lemmings, and they love to follow.

Perhaps it is because they are left with more spending money. Thanks to inflation our tiny SS check buys less each month. Still, we choose who gets a part of it. We shop local owned businesses as much as possible. Used/2nd hand items are about all we buy electively.
