It's tough in any campaign when your favorite gets eliminated. It drove me nuts when Palin and Cain dropped out early. My heart just wasn't in this thing after that. And seeing Newt on a slow slide was like being pecked to death by small birds. I'll have to dig deep to vote the {"R-word"} ticket this time.

What would help immensely would be if Romney were to select a real, dyed-in-the-wool conservative as his running-mate. It'll be suicide if he goes with a progressive elite.

I don't know about anyone else around here, but after reading his book, "Keeping the Republic", I really like Mitch Daniels. I just don't think Romney can go with any of his former GOP opponents and then feign happiness to the voters about them. Alan West would also get me on board.

But I would like to state plainly here and now....I'm not a happy camper.

With respect, the problem with putting earrings on a hog is that, in the end, it's still a hog you're dressing.

The VP choice matters absolutely nothing to me. It's the candidate I can't support.

That worked with Palin, it won't work again.
