MM, whatever people said that offended you on this site is owned by THOSE people—alone.
The political reality is that the only conservative left standing in this race is Newt Gingrich.
There never was a perfect candidate in this race. And there were plenty of folks here willing to tear Newt apart as well as Rick. How soon we forget about those who tore Rick Perry apart, or Sarah Palin, or Herman Cain.
It is time for primary voters, half of which have not voted, to vote for Newt otherwise WE WILL GET ROMNEY.
The real enemy here is not Newt or those here that support him.
The real enemy is Romney and the horrific attacks he levelled on all of his opponents. He ground everyone down.
And the truth is, he ground Newt down first, which allowed Rick to flourish, blunting the attack against Rick.
What I cannot understand is that Freepers seem to want to wallow in wailing and gnashing of teeth, bemoaning the prospect of Romney being the nominee, when the Only shot we have to now influence the GOP-E preferred outcome is to send Newt on to Tampa.
Newt’s ideas, not Willard’s, are needed right now.
Newt’s vision, not Romney’s, is needed right now.
Newt’s unbridled ability to pummel the usurper in the White House relentlessly is what is needed right now.
What some idiots did on this site does not change the fact that we have one LAST chance to effect this race, and the future of our country.
And Newt, with all his warts, is much closer to Rick in ideas than is Romney.
I’m in for Newt until Newt is out. He means to go all the way to Tampa, and I mean to help him .
And I am asking all of Rick’s supporters to join me.
I was a Newt supporter too in the beginning, exit. And I totally respect your right to support him.
But the reality is that he does not have the support to win.
If I were you, I would put my hopes for Newt into a cabinet post or other administrative position. He has potential but not as a presidential candidate at this time.
Santorum had a chance and because of my congressman and senator in Wi, he is no longer in the race.
He was our last hope in this election cycle.
I wish more Freepers would realize that rather than focus only on the presidential race, it’s important to put our efforts into local, state and national congressional and senate races.
And I do not agree that it is just about those people alone who vilified Rick Santorum. The admins of this site allowed way too many comments bordering on slander because they were supporting your guy. Many of those posters should have been zotted...or at the very least, their comments screened.
Civil discourse is one thing..Vitriolic hate filled messages have no place on a site like this. Some really intelligent Freepers have left permanently because of it.
