I understand the sentiment, and I am amused, and a vote for "NUTS!" is certainly a more worthy vote than one for Romney. But why not coalesce with a write-in around Santorum or Gingrich to send such a message? or perhaps wait to see if there is an independent on the ballot? Romney is a lost cause. But the majority of the voting blocks that are giving him a victory in the primaries (like my own Wisconsin's Kenosha, Racine, and Milwaukee counties) will turn on him like a rabid dog for Obama in November. Convincing the real conservatives in Wisconsin to coalesce around Santorum, for example, as a write-in could actually give him more votes than Romney for this state in the general election. To me, that seems like a much more powerful message to the GOP-e.

As I sit watching Santorum drop out on Fox, it is fine with me, the idea of gathering around one of the two. The problem I see is getting the compromise. Gingrich folks in majority don’t like Santorum, and Santorum folks in majority don’t like Gingrich. How to get past that?
Also, Eternal Vigilance has pointed the way to the America’s Party. I am studying that platform. Would someone like Santorum run as a candidate for this party? Here is the link:

I am hoping with “Nuts” to get the idea across to the Republican party that conservatives are not going to be pushed around this time. But then again....as I watch Santorum, maybe they (Repubs.) WILL push us around?
