The IRS has just received new software that will identify anyone that doesn’t have Government Approved Medical Insurance using the insurance’s own databases. If anyone didn’t have insurance for even 1 day then they receive the IRS penalty. Any company that doesn’t offer give insurance to a new employee from day one gets the $2000 IRS penalty.

Anyone know when the non-insurance penalty goes into effect? And when they start collecting the penalty? April 15, 2013 or April 15, 2014?

I’m not doubting you, Toby, but do you have a source for that?
