With the way the Obama-loving media have mishandled the Trayvon Martin shooting, there's seems to be no question the Left wants race to be an issue in the upcoming elections.
Appearing on the syndicated Chris Matthews Show this weekend, HDNet's Dan Rather ominously said, "Race will be a factor in this presidential campaign"
DAN RATHER, HDNET: But this will be, let's don't forget that race will be a factor in this presidential campaign. Yes, the country can feel good about we elected a person of color, which I did not expect to see in my lifetime. But race will be a factor in this. The fact that the economy is in this strange position that it seems to be doing better but everyone has a sense it's more volatile than we know, its more fragile than we know. And in the end, you know, Chris, I'm a great believer that people vote their pocket books.

sounds like Dan just gave up MSM campaign strategy number ? of 100
I wish he’d go talk to Walter Cronkite and Mike Wallace about this and then get back to us.
A four minute acid trip through the head of a Texan crazier than a shell-shocked bed bug on crystal meth:
“This race is shakier than cafeteria Jell-O. Turn the lights down, the party just got wilder. It’s cardiac-arrest time in this presidential campaign. He swept through the South like a tornado through a trailer park. Don’t bet the trailer money yet. It’s too early to say he has the whip hand. Now Florida, that race, the heat from it is hot enough to peel house paint. It’s a ding dong battle back and forth. If he doesn’t carry Florida Slim will have left town. If a frog had side pockets, he’d carry a hand gun. They both have champagne on ice, but after the night is over, they might need a pick axe to open them. This race is tight like a too-small bathing suit on a too-long ride home from the beach. It’s about as complicated as a wiring diagram to some dynamo. Only votes talk - everything else walks. This will show you how tight it is - it’s spandex tight. We’re going to go to some of those longnecks from a long time ago. He’s going to find that people will hang on him like a coat rack. This election swings like one of those pendulum things. This race is as tight as the rusted lug nuts on a ‘55 Ford. What we know is that there will be no decision until some of those races are decided. Al Gore has his back to the wall, shirt tails on fire with this race in Florida. You talk about a ding-dong, knock-down, get-up race. When it comes to a race like this, I’m a long distance runner and an all-day hunter. It’s the American way: if you don’t vote, you don’t get to whine. Smelling salts for all Democrats please. Maybe you can bring some perspective on this, we’re plum out. When the going gets weird, anchor men punt. Tipper is probably telling her husband to hook a U, go back to the house to get a recount. It doesn’t matter if you’re a Democrat, Republican or a mug wamp, elected officials play it straight. Florida is the whole deal, the real deal, a big deal. The presidential race still hotter than a Laredo parking lot. These returns are running like a squirrel in a cage. It was as hot and squalid as a New York elevator in August. Bush has run through Dixie like a big wheel through a cotton field. This will have the people in Austin standing up like they got stuck with hat pins....in Austin, between the 10 gallon hats and the Willie Nelson head bands. The big burrito out there in California. They’ll be doing back flips in Nashville. It would be Shakespearean for Al Gore to lose because of his home state. I think you would likelier see a hippopotamus run through this room than see George Bush appoint Ralph Nader to the Cabinet. None of this television mumbo jumbo, let’s get in there and count the votes. Frankly we don’t know whether to wind the watch or to bark at the moon. We’ve lived by the crystal ball, we’re eating so much broken glass. We’re in critical condition.”
I remember the quote about the hippo running through the room, but I forgot the frog with side pockets comment. Now THAT was trippy!
If the media calls Zimmerman a white Hispanic then Obama must be a white African.
Since I read them everything’s been “like” or “as”—similes and metaphors ... I’ve been as jittery as a flea on a hot frying pan, like a scalded dog running out the kitchen back door.
Over 90% of blacks vote for Obama. By pissing off white people, Does Obama think that he is going to win based on an issue where the numbers do not add up?
If Obama loses, he blames race, SCOTUS and George Bush. And then what? He will be spending NOvember thru January shredding everything.
I agree wholeheartedly; blacks will vote 95%+ in favor of 0bama. AGAIN.
This incident in Sanford was between a black and hispanic. If the left wants to piss off the hispanics, so be it. The Republicans will gladly accept their votes.
Obama knows he can't "survive" a fall from power. Whatever he has been hiding successfully since his nomination is bound to escape if the Republicans take office. It's not just a matter of being shuffled off to write (Ha!) his memoirs or a third "autobiography". The best he can look forward to is life in exile.
That being the case, I think he considers it a matter of "if they take me down, I'll take the entire country down with me". That's the subcontext these riots are meant to impress upon his foes. He wants everyone to know he can indeed launch a race war if he wants to -- and the media will cheer him on.
Nice post - tks
DAMN Ronin! I hadn’t thought about that. I understand the concept of “taking everything down with you” but is there a word in English that describes it? Kamikaze is the closest I can come up with. And that’s Japanese.
He’s set for life whether he wins or loses in November. So I don’t get your point.
In French it was supposedly spoken by an aristocrat going to the guillotine (Marie Antionette?), meaning I don't CARE what happens after I'm gone. But there must be an equivalent translation of: "F all of you, even after I'm gone I'll still F all of you up!"
It was last time. The media, black America, and guilt ridden liberals elected a man with no professional experience and an angry axe to grind at this nation strictly because of his father’s race.
