In President Obamas address to the Associated Press Luncheon on Wednesday, he claimed that he is preventing disaster. Republican congressman Paul Ryans proposed budget cuts would still allow publicly held debt to increase by $5.5 trillion over the next ten years, but to Obama, they mean Americans will be dying from starvation and defenseless from hurricanes and other natural disasters.
Demagoguery is not too strong of a word to describe Obamas speech. Two million mothers and young children will be left without access to healthy food. Violent crime will soar and illegal aliens will flood across our borders because of cuts in law enforcement. Hundreds of national parks will close. We wont be able to protect the air we breathe, the water we drink, or the food that we eat. Airline flights will be cancelled or delayed, and safety will be threatened in parts of the country. Weather forecasts would become less accurate. Governors and mayors will wait longer to order evacuations in the event of a hurricane. The list went on and on.
Remember how Obama promised that the stimulus spending was going to be temporary. . . . .

A collapsing, childlike presidency and all the GOP can offer the voters is Romney.
“I was creating it before I was preventing it”.
Any Americans who still supports Obama now have something wrong with them. It shocks me that he’s a viable candidate. A Republican President who had presided over a record like this would be facing impeachment hearings.
I’ll state the obvious and say that the only way the Liar In Chief can get away with reversing his campaign stance one week after elected is the media is in his pocket.
I guess ovomit doesn't read the papers.
Hello?
The word "demogoguery" contains an awful lot of syllables for President Food Stamps, don't you think?
I'm not supporting Romney in the GOP primary process and cast my ballot accordingly.
However, even with his warts and all, he would clearly be much more "adult" than the childlike Obama on the economy and the federal budget. So if he's the GOP nominee, those of us who have preferred someone else would be foolish not to support him in the general election. When and if Romney is pitted head to head against Obama, we have to choose by far the lesser of the two evils, or else risk four more years of hell.
The lesser of two evils is still evil.
Yes, by definition. But unfortunately, we sometimes have to look at a less than optimal choice.
Romney is the Give us Barabbas vote. Except for the Democrats Candidate is not to be compared to the Biblical reference, for us anyhow...
There was no way we were going to get an optimal choice.
I can't vote for Romney and Romenycare.... I simply do NOT see how he can stand there and call himself "conservative".
We're being flushed. If the difference is being flushed slowly (Romney) or flushed quickly (Obummer), then I'm voting for my dog.
Love the analogy; mind if I borrow it?
Go ahead and use as you see fit, I was wondering if anyone else would get it, as you obviously know some folks here are protective about what they post being their ‘own’, but I figure once it’s passed through the internet good luck getting a post-copy-write protection.
More like... ‘all the card-carrying GOP primary voters can choose is Romney.
For despite the base being more than 60% of the party... they are not monolithic. Half are social conservatives who couldn’t care less about how big the government gets as long as their agenda is carried out.
And the other half are fiscal conservatives, who don’t want to pay for a big government... or want a government that powerful.
Social conservatives won’t even consider a fiscal conservative, as a small government cannot have the power to enforce their goals.
And fiscal conservatives won’t consider a government powerful enough to deliver what a social conservative wants.
Hence, we get the mushy moderate.
LOL, exactly, but it's still polite to ask. Thanks.
Any Americans who still supports Obama now have something wrong with them. It shocks me that hes a viable candidate.
That about sums it up. Here we are again with another Dole and McCain. The GOP is absolutely pathetic.
That’s not by accident. The GOP wants as far away from economic disaster AND real Federal Constitutional Reform.. As a consequence it will be decades before they own the WH again.
