Seattle Solidarity launched a campaign against the bakery after a former employee claimed she was not allowed to take breaks during her nine years with the business.

They are demonstrating because someone wasn't allowed to steal?

This is why the U.S. is essentially doomed. People now actually believe they have the right to steal from an employer.

...she was not allowed to take breaks...

Ooops! My bad. My mind on bakeries thought it said "breads".

Happy Easter to all!

How is taking a break stealing? Most jobs allow for it. Usually a 15 minute one in the morning and one again in the afternoon so the employee can use the bathroom, drink some coffee and just rest a minute. Most ever job I have ever held, esp the union ones had 15 minute breaks. The boss even asked you take them because it “renews” or “refreshes” the employee. Some bosses I worked for had the coffee machine full all day just for this.

Now if she was stealing cookies that is another story!

Taking a break is stealing??? I suppose anyone taking a break should be arrested and thrown in jail, right?
