I’ve no issue with the article concept but if the student attributed as author wasn’t “in on it,” there’s a big problem. For me that crosses the bounds even for a satirical newspaper.

Yes, the article itself is at best sophmoric humor, and doesn't really cross any lines. Misattribution, and the reasons for that aren't clear but likely not accidental, are a different thing.
