Politics is off limits in our school district. That lady would have been fired, and don't think they can't get rid of any teacher they want to due to the union.
I remember one teacher many years back who during history class, mentioned some of the social & economic reasons why Hitler came to power. He was fired over even mentioning it.

The act of firing a teacher for mentioning it to squelch such discourse is just as bad as what the teacher in the above article did.

Seems to me that is history rather than politics. Although you can draw conclusions based on the similarities between the RATs behavior today and that of the Nazis in 30's Gemany. Maybe we can stop it before the killing starts.
