So he was obviously going to fast for conditions which resulted in the death of the man. manslaughter
Exactly.
I couldnt see a line through the crowd and I couldnt stop..."
How the hell fast was he going that he couldn't stop when he had time to search for a gap in the stream of people?
Not only that, it was a cross walk filled with pedestrians. YOU STOP. Period.
In San Francisco many downtown intersections are controlled by stoplights with an all red overlap. The "accident" occurred at such an intersection.
At stoplight controlled intersections, pedestrians are not allowed in the crosswalks until they have the green (walking man) signal.
The fact that the crosswalk was filled with pedestrians indicates that Mr Bucchere was much later entering the intersection than he admits and the light was red for him well before he entered the intersection as pedestrians are unable to move quickly enough to fill the entire crosswalk the moment the light turns green for them.
Bucchere was going way too fast and had complete criminal disregard for the pedestrians.
