Daniels is not a RINO and I don’t think anyone denies he is a strong fiscal conservatives. I think some people take issue with his stance that we ignore social issues and some are a little skeptical that the GOPe seems to be trying to push him. Jindal, on the other hand, is clearly not a GOPe guy; in fact, I believe he is the only republican currently in office with NATIONAL name recognition that has not endorsed Romney (correct me if I’m wrong). Jindal is clearly independent, not so clear with Daniels.
You will be cheered to know that one other prominant Republican governor has not endorsed Mitt Romney: Mitch Daniels. Daniel’s non-confrontational approach on social issues has allowed him to shepherd through America’s strongest state pro-life law as well as the country’s broadest school voucher program.
