This will punch another hole in the NEA; good news and good initiative. Let’s see other big states controlled by the GOP like Michigan, Pennsylvania and Ohio follow suit.

So, when is Obama/Holder’s “jus’ dis” department going to rule this “unconstitutional?”

low- and middle-income students

I wonder how they define 'low- and middle-income." Sounds like welfare if the same option isn't available for everyone. While I can't stand government schools, I fear that vouchers are the beginning of state-control of private schools. After all, if state money is being used, then they will start deciding what they can and can't teach.

Excellent. Nothing like an empty school to get the attention of crappy teachers and crappy administrators.

Wish California had this.

We need to watch this very closely. Louisiana has always been at the bottom regarding school grades. If this pans out, which I believe it will, there will be no more need for the Department of Education. I wish.

Of course, the lawsuits are coming from the NEA, ACLU, and other race mongers. Expect it go to the USSC via the Department of Education, which should be disbanded. In a perfect world, it would be State issue, only.

Louisiana will be home to one of the nation’s largest school voucher programs

The academic ranking for students in Louisiana is at the bottom, so it will be interesting to see if the school voucher works. NEA must be in a panic mode.
