I wish I would have known how much. 380 ammo was before I bought one.

Key principle: one is zero, two is one.

Get more than one, of the same caliber, as a backup.

In an “after” situation, you can’t go to the gunsmith or get parts online.

That's good, but handguns are for when you don't know you're going to need a gun. If you do know, long guns are the way to go. Ask any Korean shopkeeper.
