Whether or not Corey involves a grand jury is up to her. She is free to charge or drop on her own authority, and she is free to put the evidence in front of a grand jury.

She generally inclines toward -not- involving a grand jury. But she hasn't said what her path is on this case, nor has she disclosed any time table.

Her predecessor in this case, Wolfinger (who is still working as a state [prosecuting] attorney), had arranged a grand jury hearing for April 10. That point is moot - he's off the job.

OK that sounds like a reasonable explanation.

I did not know that she was a replacement special prosecutor.
