No, I don't think Obama thought he could influence the Justices one way or the other.

I think he was just testing a message...the one he'll have to deliver if the SC strikes down Obamacare.

Best to test the message now so it's the wrong oone it won't have as much of an impact later. And, yes...it looks like it was the wrong one so now he'll have to tweak it haha.

That's what I think, although I would change the "he" to "they", the people who control this puppet. Obama himself doesn't think much at all, unless we're talking about ice cream or golf or cocaine or cigarettes. He LIKES ice cream, gold, cocaine and cigarettes.
