I so tire of hearing people say: "I'm not voting for him, but I think Obama's going to be reelected". They cite his prediction of raising a $1 Billion Campaign Warchest. But, that is not even a sure thing. His fundraising, as was recently reported, is lagging far behind what they expected to have at this juncture. In addition to that, here are some other reasons why Obama can lose in November:
#1. The Black vote will be the same percentage, but not the same number. The new has worn off; the novelty is gone. And, many in the Black Community are disappointed in him because he has not delivered for the Brothas like they thought he would. No house, no free car, no free gasoline...... They will not clear out of the jail houses, HO houses and crack houses to vote for Obama in '12 like they did in '08.
#2. The Hispanic vote will be less than in '08. He has done NOTHING about Comprehensive Immigragtion Reform as he promised as candidate Obama in '08 and has really done NOTHING for the Hispanic community.
#3. The enthusiasm, even from the Ultra-Libs, is not what it was in '08. We are still in Iraq and Afghanistan and Americans are still dying there. GITMO is still open; not closed as he promised and he really has no victories for Liberal causes on which to hang his laurels. And if ObamaCare is thrown out by the Supremes, watch for the fecal material from the Left, to hit the proverbial fan.
#4. The youth vote will NOT be in '12 what it was in '08. They're out of College now and can't find a job. They will not turn out for Obama in '12. Because they are disappointed and disillusioned, they might sit out 2012. Among those who do vote, I look for the GOP to win in this demographic in November. And let's not forget those UNEMPLOYMENT numbers affecting every demographic category.
#5. And finally, SOMETHING MANY HAVE FORGOTTEN: The pundits on both sides predict this will be a very close Election. Many people have forgotten that since the '08 Election, we had a Census. As a result of the 2010 Census, the Blue States lost 11 Electoral Votes and the Red States gained a net 11 Electoral Votes. Take 11 EVs from Obama and add 11 EVs to the Pubbie, that's a 22 EV difference. In a close Election, that's a chunk.
So, even if Romney is the GOP nominee, there will be more Obama supporters sitting this one out than there will be Ultra-Conservatives who will not vote for Romney and will vote for down-ballot races only. So, don't throw in the towel on the Prez race. BUT......
IMO, it is just as, or more, important for us to regain the Senate and keep the House. That will stop Obama's Marxist agenda in it's tracks and possibly save this great nation.
I’m with you
BHO will win reelection and he will win big.
The senate will remain but the Rs will cower because BHO won so big.
The house may pick up a few seats but it wont matter because the Rs there are being run by cowards and will bend over for the landslide BHO.
If you know anyone who died due to Mexican drug violence, please let me know!
I don’t think people know how important this election is. I truly believe that, if BHO is re-elected, it is all over for America. I do not think the republic will survive another 4 years of this marxist.
I couldn't agree more.
It amazes me that SOOO many people are willfully marching in to socialism. By the time they realize the error in their ways......."I told ya so" just won't suffice.
Nicely done my FRiend.
Wish I could be that positive, but daily broadsides continue to be fired at Romney from within our own ranks.
Never supported the man or pulled for him, but when will the grasp of the obvious jump up and slap some in the face?
He is the hand we’ve been dealt. We can either play it or watch this country go under with four more years of the one.
Any so-called conservative who isn’t totally aghast at Zero’s attack against the Judicial Branch has a comprehension problem.
I also said the same on another thread, thus we see Obama doubling down in a last gasp.
There is no coalition for Obama left, but for the black vote and the radicals and the Hillary democrats are still well miffed.
Not to mention that gone are the dreamy eyed, among the so- called moderates who fell for the charm campaign.
There is nothing charming about communism.
HOWEVER, given the GOP-E are also socialists now, it will be the people who must throw their weight into winning this election.
Will YOU attend your precinct meetings;your county convention, your state convention?
This is where the RULES are changed, after all.
I think we shouldn’t take anything for granted. IMHO, Obama is going to be much harder to beat than most of us are giving that side credit for.
Not withstanding that the three potential candidates we have to run against Obama are less than stellar, to say the least, the game of politics has been moving out of the ivory towers of DC and a game of the informed, to a pop-culture game.
We won’t be fighting our usual battle of ideas and soundbites. This won’t be a policy versus policy contest.
I predict what we will see is a pop-culture contest akin to American Idol where, no matter how people’s pocket books have been affected or how much they may or may not agree with Obama’s policy, the attack will be on popularity and group think. The game that was run in 08 was just a shade of this compared to what we will see begin in the next few months.
There will be a full force media and pop culture assault on voters. Everything from SNL to Colbert to AI and DWTS will be used to prop-up Obama’s image while making his opponent appear to be a joke. The target won’t be the 20% who are informed but the 80% who just follow trends. The past 20 years of cultural and class warfare will be brought to a head. It will be positioned as the 99% versus the 1%. The craziest promises will be made. The most outrageous charges will be leveled with no fact checking whatsoever. Obama and his minions will be on every media program available. Anyone who opposes his re-election will be cast as a pariah or worse.
Hold on tight, it is going to be a bumpy ride.
My wife and I were talking this morning about Zero’s broadside at SCOTUS. She said one thing: “Nicolae Carpathia”.
There already is massive campaign fraud going on in the Obama campaign just like last time.
Why don’t the republicans use the law? They could stop his second term in its tracks.
Why let illegal contributions, campaign fraud and document fraud continue for this candidate? Everyone knows its happening but the republicans want to wait for the election to be stolen again.
how? The numbers simply aren’t there.
I don’t think he will win big. Gas prices are already slowing the economy, and layoffs will probably be picking-up again by fall.
Plus he is going to overplay his hand by ginning up the hoodie mobs and OWS hippies, thereby scaring all the white working class voters into the GOP camp. Even for a candidate as weak as Romney.
Obama could still squeak out a win by promising enough freebies to enough stupid people, which is why we really need a stronger candidate. Also a lot of Catholics will go back to voting straight party Democrat if SCOTUS pulls the plug on Obamacare and its birth control mandates.
The GOP candidate's (as lousy as he is) motto going into the November election should be;
FEAR 4 MORE YEARS OF OBAMA?
THEN YOU'D BETTER VOTE FOR ME.
I think the odds are that Romney will lose narrowly, but we will probably keep the House and possibly recapture the Senate.
The reason we are stuck with the chameleon is because enough Republicans know that the last non-Romney standing, Santorum, would lose in a crushing landslide defeat that would take down our House majority with it and ensure we have no chance of taking the Senate.
The outlook isn’t good, but sure, Romney has at least some chance depending on how events unfold. I’d say Hussein has a 66% chance at re-election at the moment against Willard. Were our nominee Rick “lets talk about why contraception is ‘not okay’” Santorum, Obama would have near a 100% chance to win.
You are wrong. If/when Romney loses, he will lose part of our margin in the House (and maybe the whole margin). Conversely even if Santorum lost, he would swing House and Senate seats to R.
Thanks.
I do not think the republic will survive another 4 years of this marxist.
