Thank you...I’ll say my last, as well.

Obama has been horrible all along, but this past week or two he’s been scaring me to death. And I started to wonder, what should I do? What would God have me do? As much as I detest Romney and his liberalism, I thought about how much Obama hates Israel, and I know that’s very serious in God’s eyes. I was getting confused about whether I should cast a vote for Romney though I know it would be wrong. So I did some praying...poured out my heart to God, told Him I didn’t know what to do, and asked Him to show me.

Very soon afterward I signed onto FR and saw a post by a pastor. My eyes went straight to one sentence (and I’m paraphrasing): “If, as a Christian, you vote for Romney, you are making a choice for a man who signed abortion into law. This is a sin that will be upon your soul.”

I knew it all along; I never needed to be convinced. But I believe that was God hearing my prayer and giving me the affirmation I needed when I was going weak. I feel now that God will take care of Israel; they don’t need me, or Romney, or anyone else.

As a Christian, my responsibility is to God, before country or anything else. I can’t be part of the Romney mess.

Wonderful post, Catherine! I have skimmed the thread being a later poster. I expected the “St. Rick” swipes...but one post me stop in my tracks...flippantly someone wrote RS isn’t running for President...he is running for Christ. You can take THAT two ways...and I am taking of that he is running in the “spirit” true to his faith and convictions.

Catherine...you have not been alone in soul searching on the issue of Romney....I will not support him either. We are indeed accountable to God for those we support and we know with Romney you will never know with any certainty... which side he’ll come down on...if push comes to shove he’ll go with abortion, gay marraige and all the other issues which will serve his desires.

So nope I’ll not vote for Romney in the General..not going to happen.

I liked your post like others have too! I am not sure if I will vote for Romney. Romney will be the nominee 4 years from now if he is the sitting President. And Romney has a record of appointing Democrats to judicial nominees. Roe v Wade may stick around for another generation if Romney appoints liberals to the Supreme Court for 8 more years.

The only reason I am even considering voting for Romney in the general election in November is because his opponent is Barack Obama.

What terrible choices we will have this November!

Thank you for that wonderful, eye popping post. I wasn’t predisposed to vote for Romney - but your point was made elegantly without sacrificing the sledgehammer like impact.

We ARE responsible to God for our actions, including our votes.
