It is amazing how the cars are untouched and still in their driveway’s while the homes are leveled. I am only guessing here... but cars are designed to withstand 100 MPH wind while older homes that don't have tie-down straps connecting the rafters to the top plates are susceptible to uplift.

I told someone when we had bad weather coming it looked like cars were safer than the house sometimes.
