FRAMINGHAM -- Federal immigration officials are still pursuing the deportation of President Obamas uncle, Onyango Obama, to Kenya, officials said today.
The statement from US Immigration and Customs Enforcement came a week after Onyango Obama resolved drunken driving charges and a day after the state Registry of Motor Vehicles issued him a hardship drivers license so he could get to his job as manager at two Metrowest liquor stores.
Now that Mr. Onyangos criminal case has completed, ICE has communicated, in accordance with standard procedure, with his attorney regarding his removal pursuant to a previous final order by an immigration judge, Brian P. Hale, ICE director of public affairs.
Obama, who is the half-brother of the presidents late father, must appear at a meeting next week at ICE offices in Burlington to discuss his deportation, according to a person with direct knowledge of his case.
It is unclear whether he will ultimately be deported. Obamas immigration lawyer has said in the past that he intends to fight it.
Obama was last ordered deported in 1992. But he never left. He arrived today at his house in Framingham carrying grocery bags and wearing a baseball cap. He rushed inside without comment.

How about the family plan?!
Well, at least he does have a job, unlike Aunt Zeituni.
Not a very good resemblance. Does he have a birth certificate?

The source, who requested anonymity, said Onyango Obama, 67, will be required to report next week to Immigration and Customs Enforcement in Burlington to discuss, with immigration, arrangements to effectuate his departure from the U.S. But those arrangements will not take effect immediately, the source said. If Obama had an Uncle he would look like. . . . oh, nevermind.
Howie Carr is saying that I guess in MA you don’t need to have a SSN to get a license; as long as you show
residency in MA or something. Talking to Jessica Vaughn for Center for Immigration Studies.
or something like you can get one if you’re a resident of MA but you don’t have to necessarily be a US _citizen_ (or in
US legally)
Anyone see any family resemblence to his nephew? I don’t.
Send him back to Kenya along with his nephew.
