When I was a youngster, our church matched job seekers with employers within the church congregation. It was definitely preferable to any government solution.

but Cripplecreek...the taxpayers paid for the recipients to have triple AAA car insurance, the titles, registration for one year! that is outrageous!

Members of a congregation are close enough to the person in need to realize when they are taking advantage, or when the assistance is turning into a crutch.

The government does not know, nor care.
