I don’t pretend to know anything about this neighborhood, but in my neighborhood an incident of this kind, (gunfire, police coming and staying) would draw a big crowd of everyone who lived in the neighborhood.

in old people enclaves in fl, it is all a bunker mentality. Nobody goes out. Nobody knows neighbors. Elderly who die sometimes go for days if not weeks until being discovered.

That is a bit dramatic but the general concept with the condo commandoes.

I'm sure it drew a crowd. Not the first shooting in the neighborhood either. Some of the residents didn't want to give statements to the police - there are consequences for "snitching."

For various reasons, I accept that Tracy didn't know there had been a shooting 70 yards from his back door, until the next day.
