Kobe Bryant suffered a broken nose in the NBA all star game. Very little (if any) blood. No deformity of the nose. The only clue was is expression of pain at the time of injury and the next few games he wore a protective mask.

This would confirm my speculation that there are hairline nose fractures that have different characteristics than totally smashed noses - which is what I usually encountered in the boxing ring. (gave more than I got though)
