The extended hours is probably a shell game—hoping folks who don't know specifically what time she will appear will tune in off and on to see. Eyes, even for a moment,on the channel count for the Nielsen people.

Fox and Friends is bad about saying something interesting is coming up next when “next” to them is a relative term that means before the show is over. Expect the “Today” people to play the same game.
