Online graphic warns of al-Qaida return to NYC
Associated Press 9 hrs ago
NEW YORK (AP) A mock movie poster warns al-Qaida wants to return to New York City, but authorities say there's no evidence of an actual threat.
**SNIP**
New York Police Department spokesman Paul Browne says an overseas, Arab-language Internet site posted the graphic on its "artwork and design" page. He says the NYPD has been monitoring the site.

There are many more there now, than there ever were, I’m betting.

You know the DHS wants you to see something, say something. I saw this toad in the mud, and all I could think about was what a terrorristic thing that creature was. I wanted to call my Big Brother, but the darn thing hopped. So I had to start all over again...

No, personally I don’t. I do have several friends in some of the outer Boroughs, who tell me (by phone) that there are many more muslims/islamics now than there ever were in the 90s-20s. But that could also be just “normal immigration”, I guess. Whether they’re actual terrorists is yet to be seen.

That’s up to those friends who live there and see them daily. Out here in the farm country, I never see them, thankfully. When/if I ever do, and if they’re suspicious, I’ll make a decision at that time. I have run into some very nice Sikhs, who are not to be confused with muslims.

The only book I have ever thrown down in disgust was that koran. I have read hundreds of books. There can be no moderate muslim imo. Kind of like a ‘quiet nazi’. The last to get bit doesn't fly with me.

I have known Sikhs as well. Not muslims. :)

Moderate and muslim are distinctly opposite terms, IMO. I agree: there is no such thing. After 9-11, I believed that any of them, given the chance, would cut our Infidel throats or heads off. I still do, even more today.

I do whenever I can. They do own/run a lot of convenience stores and gas stations, though.

Foreign is good imo. Fresh views and all that. I did unfortunately read that koran before 9/11. They took them all down after the attacks. At least locally. They replaced them with new ‘mittrommneylike’ versions.

never leftprobably not.
the Muslim in the street has been (it seems to me) growing testier over the past couple of years. The arrogance and agitation is palpable.
And something I never saw before: a hardcover book, it actually looked like a textbook, with a title something like "Terrorism" or "Islamic Terrorism", sitting on the bench at one of these computer repair shops that pop up and have "I'm a Front for Something" written all over them. This was at 88th & 2nd about a year or so ago.
The last time I saw cabbies and coffee vendors so testy was a week before 911.

Just driving yesterday to get gas and groceries,
realized that the three stores we went
to, 2 were Arab. Strange how they are
taking over the merchant businesses
in town. How about your TOWN? n/s
