Put your thinking cap on, man. We're going to have a Republican dominated Congress, no matter what happens in the presidential election. If Obama is re-elected, the Congress will oppose him tooth and nail. Are you seriously trying to convince me that I shouldn't vote for Romney instead of sitting home? Put your thinking cap on, man. If you bothered to read my post, I explained all the things a president Obama could accomplish even with a Republican congress -- namely the cabinet departments and the bureaucracy.
And I do not, for a moment, buy your opinion that there is no difference between Romney and Obama. There is. Romney doesn't hate his country. He may be too liberal for our tastes, but he doesn't hate the United States.
It's a sad reason, perhaps, to vote for him. But it's enough.
BRAVO BfloGuy,
I am not happy with the way it is looking BUT we MUST stand behind the Republican nominee.

I am not happy with the way it is looking BUT we MUST stand behind the Republican nominee. Not happy? Then wipe that silly grin off your face. I've seen your pro-Mitt posts around here.
Don't deign to tell the rest of us what we "MUST" do.

"I don't think it's so much a case of 'nodding off', as it is a case of throwing up our hands in disgust, and disengaging from the process."
That succinctly and aptly summarizes it.

“If Obama is re-elected, the Congress will oppose him tooth and nail”
That would be the case if the “GOP” in congress actually had a pair.

I don't blame you for being pessimistic. It's hard not to be, if you're a patriotic conservative these days.

Well, since nobody likes ANYBODY that's running - how about if we just write SARAH PALIN in?
If we ALL did it - what could happen?

Yep.. it`s an extrmely ominous sign. The one advantage the ABO (anyone but 0bama) movement had was enthusiasm about the possibility of not only taking 0bama down, but grabbing control of the Senate... and now that`s dissipated.
Romney inspires almost nobody, and the GOP is going to pay dearly at the polls come November.
And oh, by the way.. something else that ought to send chills.. 52% polled yesterday in Wisconsin want to boot Walker in the recall (Rasmussen).
America just can`t find the button that moves them from the “stupid” setting.

Exactly.. Other than some in the House standing tough against 0bama`s agenda, I haven`t seen much evidence of Republicans offering much resistance.
Do we really see Mitch McConnell holding ground in a filibuster action when 0bama nominates a Southern Poverty Law Center lawyer as a USSC justice to replace one of the retiring or dying conservatives? I don`t.

McStain was the RINO that broke the camel's back. Fair enough.
But try to remember that Obama is the Communist who's breaking America's back.

It's okay to vote a split ballot. Vote for the most Conservative local, state. and national candidates regardless of party. This year it looks like the GOP presidential candidate is going to be so far to the left that the Constitution Party or Libertarian will get my vote.
Unless there's a brokered convention and the Sarah miracle unfolds. :^)
