Tuesday's primaries on the East Coast don't end the GOP presidential contest, then the next big date on the calendar could be in St. Louis.
Missouri Republicans have already, for the most part, made their preferred nominee know, but three of the four contenders still in the race are due back in the state next week for the mother of all gun shows.
For the second time in five years, the National Rifle Association is holding its annual conference which will attract tens of thousands of gun enthusiasts from around the country at the America's Center downtown.
....Set to speak are Mitt Romney, Newt Gingrich and Rick Santorum, as well as three governor's accustomed to the national spotlight: Texas' Rick Perry, Louisiana's Bobby Jindal and Wisconsin's Scott Walker.
Also scheduled to speak are House Majority Leader Eric Cantor and U.S. Sen. Roy Blunt.
The event could be an interesting stretch of the campaign trail for Romney, who may have the race sewn up by then, but, in the past, hasn't connected with gun owners the way, say, the coyote-shootin' Gov. Perry has.

I was an NRA member at one time.
Then I found out that they give money to DemocRATS.
Always carry a gun in St. Louis....because of East St. Louis.
I flew into STL last month, rented a car and headed for Alton, IL. My TomTom messed me up and I ended up taking I-270E in E. St. Louis. I got on my cell and called my son. I told him where I was and he advised that I get out of there immediately! I just thought I was back in Detroit.

Guns? Sorry. You won’t be able to carry a gun at the NRA convention. The NRA likes to book their conventions at places where carrying firearms is prohibited. Check out the footnote on their convention website:
