This has been a long standing Dem tactic. Make an absurd claim, then push it as truth. You instantly make the other side go on the defensive. It also paints them as being "radical", possibly even Racist, for not not doing something "so many people" want.

It doesn't matter what the truth is, just the impact of the statement.

Even if someone makes a big deal of it, it's vague enough that the other side can then be painted as having their "tin foil wound too tight".

It also gives a narrative for the MSM to push out to the masses who don't know Robert's Rules of Order from a Chick-fil-a menu...

To wit, Trayvon Martin. I hope Spike Lee, Sharpton, Jackson, Obama, and NBC all get sued by Zimmerman. And lose big time. NBC went back to their fake truck explosion roots on this one the way they spliced the 911 call they aired.

And the tactic is like kryptonite to the right. They are powerless to counter it. At least I have never seen the right successfully counter the tactic.
