OR the losing hand. This could well be just an attempt at damage control. As others have posted, the pi**y demeanor is a major clue.
I tend to believe that Obama holds the losing hand. Otherwise he wouldn't need to do a risky maneuver and alienate the SC that hasn't yet officially delivered a decision.
If Obamacare is winning then Obama would have said that he totally respects the SC and is absolutely sure that it will do the right thing.
It was theorized that Obamacare is winning and Obama is just posturing. However it is a very risky act, and very few among "his people" will even understand what he just did. It would be far more profitable to build on the positive, stress success and agreement and approval (for a change.) Additionally, Obama wouldn't need to do it so quickly after the SC had a vote. He'd have months to exploit this situation, and it would be closer to the elections too. The timing suggests that Obama is still trying to affect the SC's ruling - that's the only explanation for the haste.
