YNDON, Kan. A packed motor home headed from Texas to Minnesota crashed Sunday morning in northeast Kansas, killing five people and sending 13 others to hospitals.
The Kansas Highway Patrol said the northbound vehicle was filled with 18 people and pulling a trailer when the driver lost control at 9 a.m. on Interstate 35.

Anyone NOT bet it's a truck ("motorhome" - euphemism of the media) full of illegals?
18 people?? jeez.
Either illegals or a cult? lol
You would lose that bet........
More details here.
Was this a ‘details at 11’ ?
Debris was strewn around the crumpled Freightliner box truck, which had living quarters inside.

Well I’ll be.
Lots of people.
Home-made motorhome out of a truck.
Children involved.
Coming from TX.
Absolutely no names released.
I lost that big time!
So sorry for these people.
RIP.
“The family, including mother Pauline Kerber, 46, a widow, and many of her 12 children, was returning from a week in Texas, where they had vacationed and participated in motorcycle races.”
OR a family, including a Mother and her 12 children who frequently travel to motorcycle races out of state, supporting one of her children who is near to a professional racing career?
It's pretty lousy of you to, not only jump to conclusions, but you also thought it was funny.
I thought me jumping to conclusions was the funny part.
Should run the Mother in for Littering.
You folks should read the article. Wouldn’t surprise me if mom was a freeper.
“..said they were probably friends who were part of the family’s motocross activities...”
“...the family owned and operated an auto shop near their home, a business they took over after the father died in October 2006.”....
“They are a very, very close family.”
“Across the road, cattle and horses grazed on the green hillside. Burdette Stief tended sadly to his livestock, talking of the family he’s long known. “They’d help anybody,” he said. “They’re very nice people.”
“...They’re all home-schooled and super nice,” she said of the Kerbers, adding that the mom worked as a janitor at the local elementary school.
...”Everybody knows everybody,” he said.
“We had a wonderful relationship,” he said. “Whenever you needed something, all you had to do was ask them. The father was like that, and so are the kids.”....
Sorry - see linked article in post 3 from Minnesota, home of the family of 14 kids.
daaang... now THAT is cold. Hey, I’m off the hook! BooBoo is worse than me. :p
RV’s do tend to go to pieces when something big hits them, don’t they?
The older I get, the harder for me to read stories like this.
Reading the article before first posting takes some of the fun out of it.
They do sound like a very nice family.
I did have to chuckle at your post 14.
I was thinking that Motocross seems like a pretty dangerous sport, and then reminded how dangerous it is out on the road.
Both of your comments sound like something posted at DU or KOS. Both of you also being here since 1999 makes it even worse. Sick, sick comments.

“A 17-year-old was driving the motor home that crashed in eastern Kansas — killing five in his Twin Cities family and injuring 13 others, authorities said Monday.
Behind the wheel was Adam R. Kerber, of Jordan, the patrol said. Minnesota records show that Kerber, who was critically injured, has an instructional driver’s permit. It was not immediately clear whether Kerber was legally allowed to be driving the Freightliner truck, which also was pulling a trailer.”
I don’t think learners permits cover RV’s with trailers.
