Ron Paul has thrown his delegates to Rick Santorum in WA state.

The idea is to take the primary to the convention floor and stop Romney.

If Gingrich throws his delegates to Santorum also, it would be great.

Don’t the delegates from the states that held early primaries, like Florida, get redistributed on Apr. 1?

Yeah, brilliant. Why should Gingrich throw his delegates to Romney’s VP choice, Santorum?

Nothing should have a higher priority for conservatives. Conservatives have nothing to lose in an open convention and a lot to gain. What are the chances that the eventual nominee could be worse than Romney? Olympia Snowe is not getting the nomination, so I say nil.

An open convention is the best thing that could happen to the Republicans. Romney sure as heck isn't firing up the base. As a matter of fact, there is a substantial number of Republicans who won't vote for Romney. Personally, since I think that Romney will give us 90% of Obama's agenda, I won't vote for him and destroy the conservative movement in the Republican Party for such a marginal difference.

Nominating someone other than Romney would energize the party like nothing else can, certainly more than any attempts by Romney to redefine himself for about the 50th time. I have never seen the party so demoralized. We all know in our heart of hearts that Obama is ready to be beaten and we are about to nominate the only candidate who can't beat him. The staid old Republican Party needs to roll the dice. We have a lot of great potential candidates, none of whom are Mitt Romney.
