Before their first date, Mrs Obama saw a picture of him in their law firm’s directory; she decided he had a big nose.
She later declined his first request for a date, saying it would be inappropriate. However, Mr Obama persisted, and the couple has been married for nearly 20 years.
In a 2009 interview with CNN, the first lady said that Mr Obama took her to a showing of Spike Lee’s Do The Right Thing.
‘Probably, by the end of the date, it was over,’ she said. ‘I was sold.’

“Spike Lee’s Do The Right Thing”
Camera whore Shelton “Spike” Lee played `Mookie,’ a lazy pizza delivery boy with a bad attitude. He was instrumental in inciting a riot which resulted in his (white) employer’s pizza shop being burned to the ground.
His employer and his two sons are Italian-Americans in NYC’s `Bed-Stu’ a largely African-American neighborhood, with photos of famous Italian-Americans on their shop walls.
The black kids aren’t happy that there aren’t photos of African-Americans in the shop and that one kid in particular is not allowed to play his boom-box at volume 11. So they riot.
With the shop still smoking, `Mookie’ confronts his employer and demands his last paycheck.
Do the right thing. Get it?
Can you see why these two, Jack Sprat and his wife/Barry & Mooch, these pass-fail, minimum effort, Marxist, Afro-freak, affirmative action, litigation happy, narcissistic, grievance-peddling, fake-angry, freeloading, nihilistic, luxury-loving dirtbags enjoyed themselves, and swooned over the reflections in one anothers’ eyes?
