I just have to believe something else is going on here with some of these posters. I'm having trouble accepting that people who have been on Free Republic for far longer than me, and should know darned well how the leftist media manipulates events and puts out lies to define their narrative, can really believe what they're saying.

These posters ignore all physical, documentary and eyewitness evidence and focus on irrelevant minutia, vague assertions and concocted hypothetical scenarios to counter what are known to be facts. They repeat leftist talking points and distorted media reports to justify, apparently, the arrest of Zimmerman with scant or no actual evidence of him having committed a crime.

There is some motivation for them to do this, whether it is along racial lines, or a maternal instinct that makes them favor the "child"...something is at play here.

I’ve noticed the same myself. It definitely seems to be some kind of emotional issue, because they are embracing the emotional side of this story, the hallmark of liberalism.

Some evidence could still come out that shows Zimmerman was brandishing his weapon towards Trayvon or giving Trayvon some other legally-valid reason to be resorting to physical violence against Zimmerman. But everything I have seen so far is consistent with a kid, starting to embrace the gangsta culture in his Twitter posts and photos, taking umbrage with getting followed, and then acting out the gangsta street creed by assaulting Zimmerman for disrespecting him.

I don't have any particular emotional need to 'support' Zimmerman over Trayvon. If evidence comes out that pokes holes in Zimmerman's story, then let's see it and put Zimmerman on trial if that is warranted by the evidence. But I sure as heck ain't going to cotton to pinheads using FR to promote the left-wing attack agenda against Zimmerman that is based on lies, emotionalism, manipulation of evidence and intimidation.

I’ve been wondering the same thing myself. There are several longtime Freepers repeating some real nonsense and completely ignoring evidence that is available.

That is a good and imo accurate summary of these “Lynch Zimmerman” posters on this thread.

I can never remember from a few days ago, who said what but I hope some people on this thread do remember them as hard evidence comes out.
