MONT BELVIEU, Texas - Following the evacuation of an apartment complex, a bomb squad discovered wired explosives, chemicals and gunpowder in the apartment of a dead man.
The Friday afternoon bomb scare started after Mont Belvieu Police say they were called to Charles Michael Carlsens home in the 9400 block of Highway 146. The 59-year-olds employer called police to check on him.
When officers entered the apartment, they found Carlsen dead, apparently of natural causes. While taking the body away, emergency crews discovered a number of weapons, including information on anti-government activities and bomb making. The Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms Bureau were alerted as a result.
The Baytown and Pasadena police departments sent bomb squads to the scene and evacuated nearly half of the complex surrounding his apartment as a precaution. They were allowed back in around 8:30 p.m.

Neighborhoods these days, they just aren’t what they used to be.
It’s a stroke of luck that the guy died before he could act on his fantasies.
I agree....
evacuated just half the complex......
So if it were a full on demolition setup, they would have closed out the whole building and the streets surrounding same.
I smell this as a ATF wind up story .... gotta make the sheeple scared....
