On Thursday, Robert Zimmerman, brother of George Zimmerman, spoke — for the first time — on Piers Morgan Tonight. Defending his brother’s involvement in the Trayvon Martin case, Zimmerman said his brother would have been dead had he not acted — and that the “pulled out a gun and shot him” narrative is simply not true.
“Why are you here?” Morgan asked.
Zimmerman replied: “I think the tide has turned. There’s a lot of loose ends to this story, some of them have to do with the events of that night and the investigation. Some of them have moved on to a lot of hate speech, people liek the McClain family having to flee their home, people putting emotions ahead of fact, and putting our family, and other families, in danger.”
He confirmed the family has received death threats, and that he himself was “contacted by law enforcement too because there was credible intelligence that could have threatened me.” Zimmerman continued: It is a mythology that’s been built up. … it’s not because [George] doesn’t have supporters, it’s because people who love and support George, his family name, also support the system, the judicial system and the legal system, that we have in America.

He sure is. What I got from this interview was Robert's last comment. There is a witness who saw the whole thing from the first blow. I'll bet that therein lies the main reason George was never arrested or charged.
Mr. Zimmerman’s brother did not allow the assumptions to stand. He was excellent.
He said it was his brother’s voice yelling for help. He said George’s nose is still broken and that medical records will show the injuries.
I have not heard anywhere, what time did this event take place?
The real story is the bottom feeding scumsuckers that will use the death (justified or not) of a teenager for their own purposes.
the medical records will show the injurites? Heh. The cops cleaned him up so now ABC started spreading the news that “no injury” could be seen on a video from the cops, and they insist he couldn’t be injured because he hadn’t been taken to the emergency room.
Hope they got the ER records, the nasal bone x rays, and took a second set of photos two days after the incident (bruises frequently aren’t present on the day of a beating, so we often had the cops bring back the patient for additional photos two days later).
I had so much adrenaline coursing through my body from a survival situation that I couldn't feel any pain until the next day. Only then did I realize how many scrapes and cuts I had all over my legs and arm, and it started hurting.
When your body goes into survival mode, it takes a while to come down off that adrenaline. It wouldn't be unusual for someone to refuse transport to the hospital by ambulance from the scene, and to seek medical attention in the subsequent days.

Actually the first officer to respond had the medics take care of Zimmerman before he was hauled off. He stated in his report that Z had a broken nose, a head injury and his back was wet and covered with grass. It has all been documented but the MSM is still trying to stir the pot.
I went and looked at the transcripts. Man, Marcia Clark is another piece of work, here. There was an interview of another eyewitness. Marcia said, afterward ...
But the fact that George Zimmerman stood up, walked away with no apparent difficulty, no apparent bleeding, seems to fly in the face of the indications in the police report that he was -- that he said he was -- his nose was broken, his head was beaten in. Yes, there may have been some minor injuries due to the scuffle, but what's being described by this witness indicates it was no major struggle. Very likely the one who was crying for help was Trayvon. Very likely the one who was being pinned down was Trayvon. And the fact that this witness said that Trayvon Martin was face down when George Zimmerman stood up is another indication that it was George Zimmerman who did the attacking and that it was a scuffle initiated by him and ended by him.Anderson Cooper - Aired March 29, 2012
ZIMMERMAN: Well, the eyewitness that was there actually saw -- I don't think his face has been revealed. I know that the police have his testimony. There's lots more in that interview - in particular that Zimmerman was being disarmed, and what Zimmerman says Trayvon was remarking during the fight ...
what Trayvon said was, either to the effect of, I believe, this is going to be easy, you die tonight or you have a piece, you die tonight. And then attempted to disarm him.
The nature of the disarming attempt is also alluded to, and it is NOT trying to take the gun from Zimmerman after Zimmerman drew it.
The initial report of Officer Timothy Smith reports "bleeding from the nose and back of the head." Nothing about broken nose.
I'm sure there is sufficient additional evidence to corroborate Zimmerman's assertions.
The media is doing its usual half-truth and innuendo.
There is more than one witness who saw Martin on top and heard Zimmerman doing the screaming. They IDed Zimmerman on the bottom positively by saying "the guy on bottom had a red shirt on." Why would the guy on top doing the beating scream for help?

I saw the Piers Morgan interview of Robert Zimmerman. Morgan is another idiot. Robert Zimmerman was well spoken and refused to be baited into getting angry. He kept things on track in spite of how hard Morgan tried to derail the whole interview to get a sound bite.
Same one. Prosecutor. Lost the case. Now she's rich by selling bullshit by the barrel.

I watch Turner Classic Movies, or listen to oldies, rock, or other contemporary music. I can't stomach any of the newsreaders / pundits. But a few of them are really scum, even though all they do, mostly, is read the script that is put in front of them. Just like Obama, can't form an independent opinion, need to be fed one.
Robert Zimmerman's transcript reads as though he's well composed. I hope he cold shouldered Morgan before and after the interview. Strictly business, no chit chat.
R. Zimmerman was very well composed. Morgan baited him big time and you could see Zimmerman choking back his indignation but he stayed calm and right on point. I couldn't do that with a piece of pond algae like Morgan.
I'm glad you did. And I didn't mean to imply that you were a "newswatcher"! (scare quotes, because what's on teevee isn't news, it's propaganda). I never would have known about the remark if you hadn't pointed it out.
