Whatever they do will surprises. The Court is also at a crossroads. How the supposed co-equal third branch of government fits into the scheme of things. Congress controls their budgets and filling vacancies. The President also has great sway over their funding and of course appointments. They can be impeached. Court sees the sweeping power grab and wonders if they will be next in terms of encroachment on power. The hungry federal govt has gutted states rights and perrogatives, and is now after total control of every aspect of individual citizens’ lives. No longer “we the people” or “The united states” but totaly answerable to the hungry maw in DC. The Court better be creative and smart.
Well when the time comes (and it may) that all three branches are controlled by one party with ideas of controlling Government...what do we do?
With no control between the branches there is nothing left to control any branch by the people. That will be out ending.
Not sure what will happen after that, but doubt that it will be pretty... That seems to be happening today.
