Massive confusion, the whole thing-like just about every “Hispanic” I know here, my family is “Mestizo”-Apache/Spanish. I also have “real” red hair, which is not uncommon in my family. But that mixing took place when they came to Mexico/Texas, starting 250 years ago. I don’t know any “pure” Spainiards who are not pretty much just off the boat.

But we’ve got tens of millions of them here just off the boat (or ‘over the border’). Those who’ve been here 250 years are a fraction of the total.
