Not only toi I come from a large, conservative family of Hispanic ancestry, but I don’t know a single person of the same ethnicity who is a democrat/liberal-of course, I do live in a small rural community in Texas...
I have Hispanic inlaws and they are as conservative as it gets (they are also from a small Texas town). It’s also my understanding that those of Cuban descent tend to vote more conservatively as a whole. What would it take to translate this into Hispanics in general voting GOP? It’s already known that the GOP is (on paper anyway) the party of conservative values-pro-life, anti-gay marriage, etc. Why does this not translate to a majority of Hispanics voting GOP? As with blacks, something is trumping these values.
