The catchy Subway sandwich shop jingle involving a variety of foot-long sandwiches available for $5 doesn't apply in San Francisco. [SNIP] Apparently, the city's new minimum wage, raised to $10.24 as of Jan. 1, make $5 footlongs an impossible business model.

I swear, if I owned a chain of stores of any kind, I would completely pull out of any city that had a separate minimum wage. And probably pull completely out of California, New York, and Massachusetts just for good measure. Let ‘em go to hell on their own.
