This is exactly why “stand your ground” laws are passed..so police can’t automatically arrest people who defend themselves with lethal force without risking a heavy penalty if their ‘suspicions’ turn out to be wrong.
Same reason why DUI manslaughter arrests are not made immediately. You need pc and a case that will stick.
