In 2001, of 1,754 arrests for homicide:

■ 22.8 percent of arrestees (400) were white.

■ 47.4 percent (832) were Hispanic.

■ 23.1 percent (406) were black.

■ 6.6 percent (116) fell into the "other" race/ethnic group category.

I figure 30-40 pct of whites just by watching the news. They probably get testy from being crammed in those vehicles.

Blacks men are only 6% of the population, whites are more than 30%. You must make this adjustment in order to compare these numbers.
