Hell, if this were a case on CSI, they're pluck a hair from Zimmerman's head, throw it into a test tube with a few epithelial cells and it would magically produce a full-HD video recreation of event.
Put Gibbs in a room with Zimmerman and in 30 seconds the truth will be known.
The media has been willing to speculate that an indistinct sound on the tape was Zimmerman using a racial slur. That will continue to be part of the folklore around the event no matter what.
The press needs to kill this story before audio forensics software is used to support Zimmerman. By the time the truth comes out this story will be running in the middle of the paper, left side, at the bottom.

They’ve had vocal recognition software for decades....Just have to match Zimmerman voice pattern to the pattern on the tape.
