I agree, and I will not sit out. I do not like Romney at all, but he is looking more and more like the nominee. OK, fine, now let's look at the choice in November: Obama is an extreme leftist who is, by any measure, destroying this country (and whether through design or stupidity - I lean toward the former - is irrelevant...the fact is that he is doing it). OK, now let's look at Romney - he may well be almost as bad as Obama on social issues and on medical care. Fine, that's the largest part of why I dislike him. However, on foreign and defense policy he is certainly no clone of Obama. Ditto on the budget and the economy in general. Those are 2 awfully big reasons to vote to get rid of Obama. Another is that Romney will have to be responsive to the public for the next 4 years...and we already know what to expect from Obama, who will not be.
All that is necessary for Evil to triumph is for good men to do nothing. Staying home is doing nothing, and so is voting 3rd party when there is literally no chance of a 3rd party victory. All that either choice does is make an Obama victory more likely, and that will be a disaster from which we cannot recover.
Now that I can agree with. Voting 3rd party is NOT a solution; it is sticking one’s head in the sand.
