Looks like just another facet of the mainstream medias Gee arent those Mormons weird? attack on Romney.
I read the entire link and did not take that interpretation away from it. The Author made some important points involving operational security, heirloom seeds and water treatment.
My Wife says her coworkers (when a Penguin game is not on) "all" talk about the show. The discussions are not just about the entertainment value, but about an unease of the current state of affairs. I believe the prepper community is much larger than anyone can imagine. This is subject that wise people just do not divulge publicly.
All I need to watch is the increase in weapon sales, phenomenal growth of longterm food storage suppliers and precious metal sales to see that a large sector of Americans are prepping. Big time.

I’ve been preparing for over a year now, out here in farm country. What won’t be used in an real emergency, can be used/re-used in otherwise *normal* times, if TSHTF doesn’t come.

When the government is (quietly)buying up enough long term storage food to affect the market that tells you something too.

There are networks of prepper groups springing up throughout the country. There are about 30 of us who meet here in Central Florida once a month to discuss prepping-related issues and gain new prepping knowledge.
Unlike the 'Doomsday Preppers' show every one in our group is concerned almost exclusively with economic collapse.
