In order to have hate crime, you must first have a crime.

There is simply no evidence whatsoever of any crime here.

And that is what Sharpton is implicitly admitting:

"Any time you have a pattern of engagement based on someone's having a particular group in mind, that qualifies for hate crime inquiry," Sharpton told The Associated Press

This is frightening and Orwellian. It is repugnant to the entire spirit of Anglo-Saxon justice and to United States Constitution. Whatever happened to the presumption of innocence? The despicable behavior of the press, especially the talking heads on the Sunday shows, demonstrates the real danger these hate crime laws pose to law-abiding Americans.

God help us if Rev. Sharpton can try us on what he thinks we think.

“In order to have hate crime, you must first have a crime.”

A crime, like the New Black Panther’s intimidation of white voters in Philly during the 2008 election?

By tossing that case, Eric Holder has endorsed state sponsored racism like the negro nazi that he is.

The Sharptons of the world believe that all whites are guilty of racism. Except, of course, the ones who donate to their organizations.

The beauty of that quote is that Sharpton perfectly characterizes himself.

No that the AP would notice.

“In order to have hate crime, you must first have a crime.”

Remember when the LAPD officers accused of beating Rodney King were found not guilty by a jury of their peers? No crime was committed, but that didn’t stop the feds from trying them (double jeopardy) for the same actions as a hate crime.
