A San Antonio man accused of giving two girls, 5 and 6, venereal diseases, was convicted by a jury Friday of sexually assaulting one of them.
Oscar Mata-Guevara, 33, could now face up to life in prison when sentenced at a later date by state District Judge Ron Rangel.
When the girls made outcries in February 2008, both had gonorrhea, and the oldest of the two also had Chlamydia, according to medical records.

I’m not involved with any children except as a loving parent, uncle and patriot. Don’t believe anything that anybody including Laz has to say
Historically poor choice of threads to make a joke such as you just made.
WAY not cool...
30 years or so ago, when my wife and I were keeping foster children, DCFS brought us a 9 year old girl who was being treated for syphilis. We didn’t ask and weren’t told the details about how or who gave it to her. Fortunately syphilis was easily treated even back then.
Four years ago, the Supreme Court ruled that the death penalty was unconstitutional for cases of child rape. They were wrong on the Constitution, as they so often are. While I believe we have a moral obligation to provide safe prisons for criminals, when the courts fail to do their job, I do not mind if we fall short in our responsibility to keep such people safe.
Its way more common than people realize. My wife worked at a daycare for a short time. She observed and reported several cases of sex abuse in that short time.
did I say sucks, I meant, uh..
Call me harsh but I weep for a society whose "men" are so damn effeminate as to not perform their primary duty - the protection of women and children.
I will volunteer to serve on the firing squad or pull the lever that caused his neck to snap.
Animals like this need and deserve to be killed publicly to serve as an example to others. At least their miserable life would have served some purpose.
This story turns the stomach.
The long-standing argument against death penalty for rapists and child molesters is that such a penalty will give the rapist every incentive — and no disincentives — to murdering the main witness against him.
I’m not saying I entirely agree with that argument, just mentioning that it is out there.

WTF???
In the stomach.....nice slow bleeder.
This kind of crap makes me sick of living.
I am familiar with the argument, and I realize you aren’t necessarily supporting it. I support the death penalty for real murder, forcible kidnapping, and forcible rape (which would include child rape in all cases), because it’s biblical, and I trust God in re: his law.
I tend to agree with you, actually, though I am uneasy in my agreement.
I would hate to think of the death penalty actually causing someone to be murdered.
But I do agree with you in principle.
Hopefully he will be put in the general population in the big house.
